Study of the Hydroenergetic Potential of the San Gabán River

Puno

It included the study of the inventory of the hydroelectric potential of the San Gabán river basin between 880 and 4000 meters above sea level.

Development of a hydroelectric exploitation scheme consisting of four jumps with a net fall of 2,535 m, an installed capacity of 455 MW and an average annual energy production of 3,240 GWh. The Macusani and Corani seasonal regulation alternatives with useful regulation volumes of 100 hm3 and 120 hm3, respectively, were identified at the head of the basin. Flow: 64 m3/s.

Study developed for the Moquegua – Tacna – Puno Regional Government.
