CESEL carries out geological studies aimed at supporting its projects. It also performs a wide variety of geotechnical exploration services, such as: wash boring drilling, standard penetration test (SPT), cone dynamic penetration test (CPT), light dynamic penetration test (DPL). ), auscultation of drilling (Iwan Auger), logs through pits and trenches, compaction controls, in-situ permeability tests, direct load test (Plate), geomechanical stations, "Tilt Test", instrumentation and monitoring of piezometers and of inclinometers (for unstable slopes). Geophysical tests: seismic refraction, downhole, vertical electrical drilling, geotechnical studies for foundations (superficial and deep), tunnels, slope stability, dams,

GEOLOGY

  • Local surface and underground geological evaluation. Studies of geomorphology, geodynamics and geological risks.
  • Sampling of structures, veins, mantles, alteration zones, definition of deposit types, hydrothermal levels of mineralization and geophysical and geochemical interpretation.
  • Geological-structural analysis for the geotechnical design of slope and tunnel support.

GEOTECHNICS

  • Soil mechanics study, admissible capacity analysis and maximum soil deformations for shallow and deep foundations.
  • Geomechanical evaluation to qualify the rock mass in tunnels, foundations and slopes.
  • Geotechnical studies focused on soil and rock slope stability analysis, design of solution alternatives in critical scenarios (gabion walls, MSE walls, grids, anchors, etc.).

GEOTECHNICS

  • Evaluation and design of the type of support and slopes based on the geomechanical behavior of the rock mass.
  • Numerical modeling by means of finite elements in 2D and 3D for the simulation of the non-linear behavior of soils and rocks, static and dynamic stress-strain analysis, simulation of construction by stages, of geotechnical structures such as dams, embankments, foundations, excavations and tunnels.

GEOTECHNICS

  • Monitoring, control of structures and moving soil mass through the installation and supply of geotechnical instrumentation.
  • Quality assurance and control (CQA and CQC) in the construction process of mining projects such as leaching PADs, tailings, stripping, etc.
  • Geotechnical investigations for road projects, tunnels, ports, airports, etc.

GEOTECHNICS

  • Execution of geophysical surveys through seismic refraction tests, MASW, MAM, SEV, Down Hole, etc.
  • Quarry evaluation; use, efficiency and exploitation.Quarry evaluation; use, efficiency and exploitation.
  • Execution of laboratory tests on samples of soil, rock, aggregates, fresh and hardened concrete, and chemical analysis of soil and water.
  • Control and supervision of diamond drilling.

SEISMIC RISK

  • Seismic hazard study through probabilistic and deterministic methods; defining maximum acceleration levels of the ground seismic movement for the maximum considered earthquake (MCE) and the operation base earthquake (OBE) by the probabilistic method; and for the maximum credible earthquake (MCE) by the deterministic method according to the International Building Code (IBC).
  • Seismic amplification analysis by linear, equivalent linear and non-linear methods, for the development of design response spectra.

HYDROGEOLOGY

  • Hydrogeological studies, numerical modeling of groundwater flow, monitoring and control of hydrogeological parameters, supervision of drilling for wells. Hydrogeological studies, numerical modeling of groundwater flow, monitoring and control of hydrogeological parameters, supervision of drilling for wells.
